The Pedal Party, held on the third Saturday of October, began years ago as the Partridge Family Fest. In recent years, the festival has celebrated the world of bicycles in all their wonderful variety. Traditions of the event include a parade down Main Street and a pancake and sausage breakfast. A room full of Partridge history, from posters to videos to original documents, tells the story of the the community. In the last number of years, activities have included poetry, photography, and pie-baking contests; a new tradition of unicycle hockey games; bike jousting and a “pedalin’ zoo”; free carnival games for young children; raffles and silent auctions; Minute to Win It competitions, bicycle-mounted treasure hunts, basketball tournaments, and more.
